txstHacks Code of Conduct

txstHacks is dedicated to providing a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for everyone. All participants, organizers, mentors, and sponsors are expected to follow this Code of Conduct throughout the event.

Expected Behavior

  • Be kind, considerate, and respectful in speech and actions
  • Listen to others and value differing opinions
  • Use inclusive and welcoming language
  • Help create a collaborative, harassment-free experience
  • Respect personal boundaries and space

Unacceptable Behavior

  • Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination of any kind
  • Offensive comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age, religion, or technology choices
  • Deliberate intimidation, stalking, or following
  • Sustained disruption of talks, workshops, or other events
  • Unwelcome sexual attention or physical contact
  • Advocating for or encouraging any of the above behavior

Reporting and Enforcement

  • If you experience or witness unacceptable behavior, please contact a txstHacks organizer immediately. You can also email us at txsthacks@txstate.edu.
  • All reports will be handled with discretion and confidentiality.
  • Organizers will take appropriate action, which may include warning, expulsion from the event, or contacting local authorities.
